Notable provisions include extensions of sunset dates for wind and refined coal facilities; for biomass, geothermal, landfill gas, trash, and qualified hydropower facilities; and for solar, fuel cell and microturbine properties. Additional ITC modifications include tax credits for properties that use combined heat and power systems, small wind energy or geothermal heat pump systems. Other credit extensions are for biofuels and renewable diesel and alternative fuels, as well as a new credit for qualified plug-in electric drive motor vehicles.
